Legal Editing Experience:

I am the Legal Editor at I started out as a nerdy child editor, correcting spelling errors and adding Oxford commas if they had been sacrilegiously omitted (but only in my mind, because I hated ruining a lovely book with writing). Growing up, I was also quite passionate about anything I perceived to be unjust, so it makes sense that after graduating from undergrad, I went on to attend law school in Baltimore. Once I earned my degree and license, I began working as general counsel for a U.S. multinational that operates in the Middle East, where I have been engaged in diverse areas of the law.

I also spent several years as a freelance writer and editor, producing content such as guides, press releases, articles, and white papers for law firms, compliance organizations, international trade companies, and content management companies. I love the written word, the law, and connecting with people.

Personal Bio

I live in the comforting and lovely mountains of North Carolina with my partner and little boy, who is a mischievous little Huckleberry Finn. Outside of work, I may be splashing in the creek, reading, daydreaming about being a senator, romping through the forest, working on immigration and refugee issues, or learning something new.
